Could be they think you're more discriminating/less loose with the coin to try a new thing of uncertain value, or they just don't think the total numbers of such folk in NZ are comparable to the quantity in the USA. While I admit to willingness to spend for uncertain value, most people are pretty stodgy that way.

Japan is a big market for down under fruits but the 'japs' are very fussy bunch and often dont take up new stuff to the market,but US is such a big market that selling there is the quickest way to recoup the development costs.Still if anyone sees Velvetine for sale,can ya buy some and let me know what it tastes like.
