I took this pic to show the difference between the onions grown with and without black plastic. I had some blow so bad I could never fix it so one row grew without. Can you tell which? This was the harvest from bed 2. Cippolini are in the wagon and Torpedo on the ground. Walla Wallas Here is what the bed looked like after I pulled the plastic up. See all the horse manure? I am now seeding fall greens in there. So I do get proud of my onions but I am not posting pics to brag or anything. I like to discuss how best to grow things and what works. Now off to ask some questions on crops with which I have problems...

I would guess the larger onions were the plasticed, having had more/even moisture.
I'd never guess those were cipollini in the wagon, too round; last time I grew cipolini, they got 7-8" wide, but only 2" thick.
Why shouldn't you brag a bit, when you're pleased with your results? You're not putting anyone else down, just crowing your exultation at success.
