I suppose I should have bought seed rather than got in trade. Most of my fennel has bolted. Should I pull them or use them for something?

You could save them for seed, but if you're trying to grow bulb fennel, it wouldn't be encouraging.

Looks like the Chinese fennel seed I grew a few years ago (that basically bolted instantly as soon as it came up, when it came up)

Ive ended up having to do battle with fennel after it came in amoung a herbal orchard seed mix,i asked the seed company "no fennel or queen annes lace please' and then what germinated....Grrrrrr,now the last two years i'm grubbing the stuff out and i find the same in that it bolts instantly as soon as it came up.

Is it still usable at all? I chopped some and sautéed with onions. Should I give to the CSAs or not?
