By the way, we are on our 20th anniversary trip now. Our date was in May but we chose to vacation in September. We went to Vancouver and Vancouver Island. It has been good but not great. I didn't ever feel like helping plan and assumed my husband was but you know what they say about assuming. So he hadn't planned very well and sometimes that can make for regrets in things that could have gone better. In Vancouver he booked us into the best hotel in town, what luxury! Of course we were out if place. The valets would get our tiny rental Chevy and then bentleys and rolls Royces! Now we are staying in a yurt in a super remote area with little to do and terrible roads. It's raining today so we are finally resting. Fishing tomorrow on a charter boat. That should be fun. We will be home Monday. I am looking forward to that.

Happy 20th, even though it was back in May. From a luxury hotel to a remote yurt! That must be some contrast.

Minny, I never let Leo "Plan" vacations....the last time we were in Paris, we took the underground to the gardens at Versailles, only to find that they were closed on that day. Nope, he never checked This happened as well when I failed to plan and tried to take us to a dino museum in Canada...slogging through sleet and snow, 3 hours...not pretty. So I make a list of what we can do and where we can go. Then if we go terrific. At least we know what's open. Hope you have lots of fun. xxoh

Hope you enjoyed your time on our Island. No it was in Port Renfrew in a new area they are trying to get protected called Avatar Grove. The first and second gnarliest trees in Canada.
