I purchased a moonglo pear from a box store this spring, it was about 5' tall. I didn't get it planted until a couple months later. It did give me new growth in the pot, as well as after planting. But it is now flowering. It is fall. Do ya'll think it may rest over the winter to act like it's supposed to? I think there are still some un-sprouted fruit spurs. Clearly I will have no fruit before killing frosts.

Well, initially, summer happened, during which it did get put in the ground. A brief spell of not under 40 degree F. Then up to perhaps 90 degree F. I had thought it would need a freeze? It started blooming maybe two weeks ago? We had our first FROST Friday.
