Is there any Lychee-relative that would grow in a colder temperate climate and that has tasty fruit?

Interesting, but no chance it will grow here either. I do not know the climate in Australia, but this plant is able to adapt.

Is there any Lychee-relative that would grow in a colder temperate climate and that has tasty fruit? Lychee best varieties are green lychee, is one of the best varieties of lychees Green lychee fruit color similar to immature lychee. Green Lychee has a sweet taste without the slightest sour taste, small seeds and thick flesh. Lychee fruit comes from china but in 1873 these plants spread to Hawaii, then to Florida, USA in 1883. So I think all of lychee able to adapt to the subtropical climate except varieties of Kom lychee and dwarf lychee which was developed for the lowlands.

I'm not speaking about subtropical climates, but temperate climates that have freezing temperatures in wintertime.
