What is your favorite way to start perennial flowers? It seems like poor results come from regular tray sowing, sticking in the fridge and then back out again. I have delphinium, foxglove, monkshood, turtleshead, and achillea. Maybe it is best to do winter sowing.

Wintersown is a great way to go, but fresh seed is the most important thing.

I just bought fresh seed for delphinium, foxglove and mixed achillea. I had some perennial seeds from trades and that might have been why some never sprouted in early spring.

I'd try some now (if you have a spare moment!) and wintersow the rest. If you can get them started now, you would have a good bloom next season. Good luck!
