Anybody grown this plant? Native to New Guinea. Seems like a great plant to grow but sources are usually in Australia and as cuttings.

My son has it in his garden. It's struggling due to lack of rain but hanging on. Next time I'm visiting, if it's still there, I'll try some. I'm curious to see if really does taste like mushrooms.
