2 years? ago the farmer next to me at market gave me an artichoke plant and I stuck it in my flower garden. I don't pay much attention to this garden. This spring it seems like the artichoke survived, but that has to be impossible. Is this an artichoke or thistle weed?

From the sandy potato fields of Sherburne county, Windy River Eco Farm grows heirloom vegetables, flowers and herbs for Market and CSA. Been growing since 2008.

I've had my "annual" artichokes overwinter, and produce one (1) artichoke per plant. Ho hum, that's what I think of that.
