I have some oddball seeds to offer:
Looks like I will have a bumper crop of Capsicum annuum var. glabriusculum, what we call Chilipequin or Bird Pepper, to offer seeds at the end of the year. It's a perennial (down here) native to my place and grows in little knee to waist-high forests along the creek banks and thus escaped storm damage. They grow in sun or shade and even make festive house plants for the holidays. They are very hot!--50,000 and 100,000 Scoville units. I have only seen them available at Native Seeds. We put them up in vinegar much like tabasco peppers to use as a seasoning, or chop a few fresh for a spicy meal.
Magentaspreen (Chenopodium giganteum) Agarita (Mahonia trifoliolata)-a holly-like shrub endemic to the southwest that produces delicious currants Texas Prickly Pear Cactus (Opuntia engelmannii var lindheimeri) Magenta Four o'Clock flower (Mirabilis jalapa) Jewels of Opar flower (Talinum paniculatum) Turk's Cap flower (Malvaviscus arboreus)
later: Winter squash Moschata (my landrace) Melon (my landrace) various tomatoes and beans after I take inventory I'll post specifics this winter

Oldmobie- I just went through the seeds you sent! You are very generous! You really weren't kidding about having a lot of radish seeds. And you sent more pepper seeds than I know what to do with! Thanks again for the trade!

kazedwards, I got your seeds today. Very cool! Gonna increase my diversity in radishes, and you just about doubled my diversity in tomatoes. Thank you! I have greatly increased my diversity in radishes thanks to what you sent! At least the radishes take little space. Tomatoes on the other hand...

My "Have" list is finished. This is the contents of the seed library. Turnover is low now, but if it increases, keeping the list up to date will be nearly impossible. So if you want me to save it for a trade, or if you don't see it, ask. You should know: I made no attempt at purity. If a seed is marked "Garden", it outcrosses, and I grew more that one variety of it, expect crossing. Many of the seeds marked "purchased" have been opened, or even repackaged. If you want to know how many seeds you're trading for, ask. This is a seed library as well as a trade list. If you want seeds and have nothing to trade, I'll send 'em for SASE. I don't want to post my home address here. Message me for an address. My "Want" list: Small lots of sweetcorn for diversity Small lots of peanuts for diversity lagenaria gourds (birdhouse, bottle, dipper, bushel etc) Butterfly/ bee attracting flowers Malabar Spinach, especially red stemmed Easy to grow, easy to use grains Tasty heatless peppers Very prolific greenbeans that don't get stringy Watermelons, especially white yellow or orange fleshed Sunflowers especially non-yellow Oca Perennial Groundcover flowers Anything you'd like to donate to the library (At this time, I recommend going a little on the small side. The library hasn't really caught on yet.)

blackox, I got your package today. Thank you! You were very generous with your strawberry popcorn! I don't get to the post office very often, so I haven't sent yours yet. Sorry. On the other hand, I'm gonna look back over your want list for extras I can send along. You should look over my have list before I send, and tell me what else you'd like.

Oldmobie: have you scoped "PlanT Farm"? Let me know. Yes and no. I usually view the recent posts in chronological order, so I'd seen posts in your thread without realizing it was a trade thread. Looking at it as a trade list, I have my eye on your longbeans, as well as your wheat and barley. I googled each one. For the barley there was a recommendation to toast it, then boil it. The wheats were harder to find. Outside of grinding into flour, are they human edible? I think I'm interested either way. They should still produce a cover crop, straw mulch and critter feed. Have you looked over my list? What do I have that you could use?

That's no problem oldmobie, take your time, spring's not going to be here for a long while yet. Actually just found some old Country Gentleman corn and birdhouse gourd seeds, can send them in another package if you'd like.

kazedwards Your package came in the mail today! Thank you for the trade and your generosity! I'm even more excited for spring now than I was before. Can't wait to see if I got any crosses in those Martin's Carrot pepper seeds that you sent. A cross between Martin's Carrot and a sweet bell pepper might make a good stuffing pepper.

blackox, I got your package today. Thank you! You were very generous with your strawberry popcorn! The night that I had packed seeds on happened to be movie night - I barely managed to save those, family likes popcorn a little too much! I'm hoping that that gave you plenty of biodiversity to work with.
