My list of corn is in a Google spread sheet and should be visible here. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LVtdfAIjotFSH4msnGhDFyoVKJGMXFBC5g2LVuoCQlk/edit?usp=sharing Attributes like days to maturity and so fourth are best I could determine from descriptions. See anything you want or need let me know. Got way more than I need, I think. I'm copying Joseph's method and trading for seeds or silver. Might be talked into giving if the need is there. Comments on what to grow are welcome. Bean list will be up soon. [add] hey that worked pretty good, I logged out of Googel and followed the link. **number available on most sweets are actually low. Upper right corner is button to comment, all are appreciated.

I'd be interested in a sweet or two for my mom. I've never focused on corn so I don't know the varieties. She's in a semi-arid part of Idaho, irrigation would be hand watering. OP varieties would be a plus, she'd like to try saving the seed. Here's my trade list, let me know if there's anything interesting. I also have a bunch of random stuff from some swaps that's not listed, feel free to ask if you're looking for anything. Thanks! My trade list

Hi catanache, I have lots of the open pollinated su types. Does your mom want to keep a single variety "pure", I have extra whole packs of Anasazi from Sand Hill, and plenty of Blue Jade from SSE, I have never grown them yet myself. Or, I could put together a mix of several and she can let them cross and settle out to something she likes best. I think this is better especially if she will be growing a small patch. I'll send plenty so she can freeze what she doesn't plant and mix it back in the next year. If you see a particular kind on the list you think would be good, just let me know and I'll make sure it is well represented in the mix. PM your address and I'll get her some packed up. I see you have some pole beans, I'm always wanting more of them.

I think it's going to be a small patch so several varieties would be good. But still packed & labeled individually so she can choose how to plant them... if that's not too much of a hassle for you? And perhaps a little packet of the Blue Jade for me to grow here in PA.
Are you more interested in pole beans for green beans, shellies or dry beans? I have several varieties I haven't added to the list yet. I'll PM you with the varieties in the morning.
Thank you!

Hey Reed, I would love to trade with you, I see we are fairly close (compared to most on this board), since I am also in southern Indiana. My "farm" is about halfway between Columbus and Seymour, where are you at? I don't have a huge number of varieties, but if you want some popcorn, I have several types as well as some red zebra tomatoes that did very well last year and a few hot pepper varieties.

indianamike, I am not far from Madison next door to the Splinter Ridge Fish & Wildlife Area. We go through Columbus a lot on the way to Monroe Lake, would like to move over that way some day. Are you in need of some sweet corn?

Yeah, I'm a little light on diversity as most of what I have for sweet corn is either Stowell's Evergreen or Golden Bantam. I am planning on trialing several new varieties this year, so the more the merrier!

indianamike, Do you want to keep varieties pure or or you letting them mix like I intend to? If you are mixing I could share a few each of several kinds if you want just one kind it would be the Anasazi or Blue Jade. The hot peppers and your Zebra tomatoes sound interesting, I'd trade for some of them. Unfortunately don't have room for popcorn. Let me know and PM your address.

Update - pickins are getting pretty slim on what I can spare in the su corn types, only maybe one more trade on those. catanache, yours is on the way. blackox & indianamike, I'll get yours out early this week. Still have plenty of the se types and could spare some flour corns, Amanda Palmer (Alan Bishop variety from Secret Seed Cartel) and a little Painted Mountain from Sustainable Seed Company.

oldmobie, kyredneck, got your seeds packed up and will get them out when I go to town tomorrow. You are both getting some of the Little White Greasys. They are not as pretty as they should be cause of cool wet weather right at harvest time last year. They germ tested fine but I would recommend growing them out this year as they might not keep as good as the others.

kyredneck, Beans arrived yesterday, look good! Brings my pole bean collection to 51 not counting runners, limas, and yard-longs. The John Allen Cut-shorts, are they a greasy bean?

reed I don't think so, but they've got 'the flavor'. They're early w/shorter vines to make a good first canning crop. Not as early as Kwintus though.
[add]
FYI, "I don't think so" means I don't know for sure. I originally bought them from Bill Best who listed it as only a cut short, BUT, at the same time the pods do seem to be slicker and shinier than typical non-greasy beans.
