For those who haven't been following the True Potato Onion Seed thread, I have on offer, for free, seed collected from my mass growout of GMtn seed I got from Kelly winterton a couple of years ago. I did some autumn and spring plantings, grew out the survivors to bulbs some of which set single bulbs and some small nests last SH summer. I replanted in SH autumn 2014, nest-to-row. All of these flowered, and set seed, with some variation in earliness of flowering. I have somewhere around 200 grams of mostly clean seed. If needs a bit of final pickin over, and probably some freezer treatment - I have CO2ed it, and fridged at 4 C. but am a bit reluctant to freeze it all in case i kill it. please PM me and I'll try to get it bagged and posted this week. No payment required, pay it forward. The grown out nests ranged from large whites in smallish numbers, and some brown and pale brown longish shallot looking bunches, with a range of vigors. T

I've bagged the seed - about 10 ml per packet - into my 'seed selling venture' packets. - please ignore the web address on the label, doesn't work. I cut gatefold pieces of corrugated cardboard, cut a packet sized hole in the top fold, put in the seed packet then stuck a bit of paper over the top, then into envelope. Would be interested in quality of arrived seed. I've done a test sowing of the chaff bucket, and stuff is germinating, so i assume the cleaned seed should be OK. Again, exercise discretion in your sowing - I don't use any 'cides here, and have only used 4C refrigeration and a blast of CO2 into the seedbag as control agents. Next question - what do i do with 180 grams of potato onion seed? T

Mine arrived in fine condition, thanks. The packaging is worth remembering, as I've had the odd packed turn up with the seeds squashed. Some of it's in already; if it turns out to be too cold, I'll plant more in a couple of weeks.
