I've taken the seeds from the Rouge vif d'etampes X Hubbard that I was given to do a grow out on.
The first batch shows a big difference in the colour of the seeds once they dried. Three quarters of the seed are a lovely white; the balance are tan.
I've never actually grown Hubbards. Could this be the result of the cross?

Yes, that is a result of the cross of the two squash, I get that a lot in crosses. Are there any other differences? Shape? Size? Lines around the outside of the seed? Craking?

The darker seeds aren't as plump, other than that, I can't find any significant differences?
