Do we have thread on this? If so, where is it?
If not, how does everyone plan to comply if they are impacted by it?

Based on what I see happening on the streets in the places that I travel to, people will continue to grow, process, cook, and sell black-market food just like they are currently doing. One of the most insightful things I have heard a farmer say about growing food is, "Everything I want to do is illegal".

As a practical matter. I don't see most people in the $25,000-50,000 sales range likely to comply - it's just to complicated and too expensive for too little benefit.

Not everything I want to do is illegal; most are probably just commonly labelled "irresponsible", "anti-social", or "immoral".

Castanea, Go here, get the manual, read it and fill in the blanks. www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/food/foodsafety/producers/gap-introduction.htmI went to a class and did one. To further help with food safety on our farm, this year I invested in a NFS stainless 2 bowl sink to wash veges in. www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/food/foodsafety/producers/recordtemplates.htm Here's the template. Lots more stupid paperwork. Fill it out once and file it. Since I have no employees, mine was pretty straightforward. They expect that you are going to do things like keep a log of how often the bathroom is cleaned. At my house there is only one. It's cleaned on Tuesday every week by me. There the log is finished and filed. Really, what a nuisance. But I did my bit and filled the stupid thing out. Now, shall I bill the government for the time wasted in this? WARNING: Gets on Soap Box: NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON HAS BEEN POISONED BY A SMALL FARMER OR CSA. All the poisoning has come from "Big agriculture". They're the ones who did the crime, they should do the time and leave the rest of us alone. Gets off soap box and goes off to struggle in the weeds.

Oh, please! There you are thinking that those big enough to fight it are the ones who should be fought; so much easier to make a show of "enforcement" than to prosecute the guilty; the public will turn away. Isn't the royal couple's new baby important? Follow the fluttering cape and you won't see the sword coming in.
