As for the "newly-wed" part, just be sure to have your hubs carry you into the garden the first time; so far as what the Celts were certain was needed to ensure fertility and fecundity of the soil, I'll just say it's mentioned in a folk-doggerel about "the First of May".

Steev, I just want vegetables to grow, not start a family at 40. Speaking as someone who had twins at 40, growing a market garden is MUCH less trouble. Find another way to ensure fertility. LOL Catherine
