I bet there are tons of good work and time saving ideas out there among the the people on the forum. Like Joseph's tube planter, I'm gonna make me one of those. My own over the years have mostly turned out in practice not to have been so great but I got one now that I love. When ever I'v planted turnips or radish for winter cover I always waste a lot of seed by uneven planting. Plus I don't like having to scatter the seed and then go back and rake them in. So I present the newest and latest, extremely low tech, Automatic Seed Dispensing Rake! Once I figured out the correct number and size of holes to drill in the bottom of the bottle it worked great. I just walked briskly up and down and back and forth dragging the rake behind me. It worked perfect, seeds were evenly distributed and raked in in one step! Anyone else got simple cheap ideas that work? Sure would love to see em.

Not a bad idea, reminds of an idea a friend was telling me the other day and that was to make a cover for his house cow that had pockets over it, each pocket had a small hole to which seed could slowly dribble out as the cow walked around.
Ive noticed reed the teeth on your rake are very short, only good for finely tilled soil.

I think that is just the angle it's leaning makes it look like that. A rake with short teeth might be handy though. I often use the back side, I think it covers seeds better without dragging along clods and plant debris.
