Does anyone here regularly grow Calypso beans? I love the look and they taste great, but I just do not like bush beans! They are a pain to pick and take up a lot more space for less yield than pole beans when you have a small growing space. Has anyone noticed off-type plants among them that seem to want to climb?

North Central Texas: where it can be 70 degrees and snowing at the same time.

Blackland prairie loamy clay, hot, dry summers in the 100's with hot nights, wetter cool season. There is no fall/spring. ~210 frost free days, but split into two mini seasons because only cowpeas are happy in our summers.

	Ray Silty loam over clay, pH 5.5, altitude 1000m, latitude 30deg south, 150 frost free days.
