A while back I was over at a local Japanese supermarket and I picked up some seed packets. One of these was for a luffa variety called Futo Hechima. When I opened the packet I was surprised. While the seed is clearly luffa seed, it's white (well tan). Don't think I've ever seed a luffa whose seed was any color but black.
