I'm trying to get my hands on bulk honey locust seed to start a landrace, selecting for early bearing and overall health in my location, and abundant production of edible, or at least fodder grade, pods.
So seeds picked up from yard trees (which are abundant here in Denver) don't seem like a good source; they have been bred for less pods, ornamental use, and a pampered lifestyle.
I'm especially interested in any strains that have already been worked on as a potential crop.

Our wild trees make an abundance of pods most years. They also have an abundance of extremely large thorns. More like giant needles. I could get you all the seeds you want if you remind me this fall.

J LHudson has the thornless honey locust seed, but not sure about bulk. I got 100 %germination from the ones I got from them 3years ago after hot water treatment.
