Mostly, extremely diverse genetics.
The Chiusa Pesio though, just popped up much earlier than anything else so that's why it's bigger.

Sixteen of the 21 seeds you sent me are growing/surviving, at least one of each variety; thanks so much! Next Fall, I'll decide whether they go on the East or West side of the farm; prolly the West, jiggering the riega being easier there and having a line of holes I'd drilled but not used. Planting anything outside the "veggie-corral" is always an issue of caging, so that whatever isn't destroyed by rabbits, pigs, deer, or elk.
