In the process of moving to Asheville. Would be great to connect with some people to collaborate on plant projects. I know Khoomeizhi lives nearby.

i am indeed nearby.
i'd love to collaborate on some things (and will respond to your direct email at some point today). having just bought this property last year, and working a job and a half besides the home-based projects, means that the property and gardens are still in half-managed shit-show mode...but i'm sure we can figure something out to try here...

Cool. A lot of the herbaceous perennials and stuff I'm interested in does well in half managed shit show mode. I really just want make connections with local people doing breeding and experimental growing. On the one hand I want to build up a diverse stock of edible herbaceous perennials and on the other to have a go at different breeding projects like perennial bean, dioscorea opposita, physalis, perennial pumpkin seed, sagittaria, passion fruit, apios etc.
