"No way to delay that trouble comin' every day". Until we get over seeking quick fixes, our weapons are only going to continue developing enemies that can get around them. Insects, weeds, bacteria, and viruses are all very malleable, having enormous populations and rapid reproduction, and so capable of rapid response to whatever we throw at them; it's starting to look like the Zika virus-microcephaly problem may really be a pesticide-microcephaly problem.
Whatever happened to the Mediterranean Fruit Fly scare 20-some years ago?
Oh, well, let's give Monsanto a billion dollars to try to find a solution to this white-fly.

There are indications or so I've heard, that the Zika virus was both very rare and pretty innocuous until gmo mosquitoes were released in an effort to control malarial mosquitoes. Gotta love these people with more money and hubris than any sense of responsibility.

And now we can give money to work on these problems to Bayer/Monsanto, the biggest chem/GMO corporation in the world; I'm sure they'll be interested in ending, rather than prolonging, the problem, just like the military invests most of its resources in diplomacy.

This is interesting, although I'm not sure any findings have any "teeth" it will certainly raise a great deal of awareness www.monsanto-tribunal.org/ It's got a number of fairly heavy duty people pushing it forward.

"The discovery surprised experts, because until now the insect has only been found in greenhouses in about 24 states." So they were surprised to find the "whiteflies" outside?!?
