I have yet another one for you. I thought it was day Lily's bc they grow wild around here. Then I saw a few with swollen stems. Any idea. Those are goldenrod plants - the stem thickening is because of an elliptical gall moth larva living in the stem. bugguide.net/node/view/97224

Yes; people can get weird about what one might want to relocate; when my house was foreclosed, I asked one of the new owners whether I could have the Japanese Maple growing in front; he said yes, so we went to digging it up; an Escalade full of NFL wannabees rolled up, the driver getting out to be all chesty with me; I told him I was the former owner and had permission from "this guy; you can call him at this number"; you could hear the gears grinding out-of-synch as he struggled to process my lack of concern.
Geez! These are people who bulldozed a productive Fuyu persimmon, Northstar cherry, apple of eight varieties, and an Asian pear of six varieties, not to mention the remains of 25 years of my pets, to put in a sod lawn, which the current owner cares for not at all, so it's gone all crappy and bunchy; feh!
This is why I'll put my farm in a trust, perhaps a land-trust, so my work doesn't get pissed away by someone too ignorant/lazy to see the value of it; there isn't any new land in Cali, nor any new water sources; salt-water RO-tech is such a power-drain as to be ridiculous, aside from environmental concerns (how to dispose of that very-saline effluent without devastating the marine environment).

Well I have yet another one. This one is a tree. Any idea? Sorry I'm not very good with identity plants from pics on the internet. These two are the same plant And these two are of a bigger one. Also we got a completion date from our builder. Looking like September 29 they will be done. Can't come fast enough!

Yeah; nothing of note so far as I know; if it's in a place I'd want a wind-break, or whatever, fine; otherwise I'd rip it.
So you're in your new house? Mazeltov! Be well and prosper.

Two weeks away. Today I bought a mower and also talked to a neighbor about brush hogging the tall areas. Only a few things left with the house. One more coat on the hardwood floors, a few things need to be painted and touched up and septic and plumber needs come back to test everything and back fill the septic a bit more due to settling. We are almost there!

Taken a while but you are nearly there, then the fun starts, getting a garden up and running.

Well we are all moved in. It’s been a little over a month now. We are loving it and so glad to be here and out of that apartment. For the most part we are unpacked and settled in but do have a little more. I’m very ready to start planting but that will wait until spring besides garlic. The only thing I have planted so far is a little sod for the dogs this winter. The grass seed is coming up a bit slower and sparse than I would like as well. So that will be waiting until this spring too.

TREES! now's perfect time to plant trees. Fruit trees, shade trees, lot and lots of trees. Also berries if ya can find em. Any long lived woody things, flower bulbs too. Don't give us this wait till spring crap, plant stuff.

Trees planted here and now would need to be watered over the winter. I'm not set up for that. Spring is better for me even though those would have to be watered over the summer. But hose doesn't freeze in the summer.
