Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
Very stormy today. The worms and slugs will also be enjoying a Thanksgiving meal today.
The condemned get a hearty meal of their choice today for tomorrow I will search them out.

Slugs' Black Friday, eh?
I hope all here in the USA have had the traditional Thanksgiving over-indulgence, followed by the obligatory walk and/or nap in front of the TV. I'm grateful for more food than I can eat at one sitting, the technology to keep it until I can eat more, and the security that it won't be stolen before I get to it.

I went out this morning and didn't see any slugs or worms.
Perhaps they are in a brassica comma from piggin out yesterday.
I did see a tiny nubbin starting on the Romanesco cauliflower.
Purple of Sicily is still at 2 inches across.
We had an excellent traditional turkey dinner. Decided to live dangerously and stuffed
the turkey, yummy best stuffing I had in years. Not counting my Mother's who always stuffed her bird

I also prefer "stuffing" (inside the bird) over "dressing" (baked separately, a seasoned bread cassarole).
I know some have concerns about salmonella, whatever, but I've never heard of the occurance of any such problem, neither in my family, nor friends; perhaps we're just cleaner in general (I really wouldn't bet on that, so few of us being urban apartment-dwellers) or we're just less hospitable to pathogens (that's my guess), we mostly having grown up playing in the dirt like the generations from which we're descended.

Tonight we had the post-Thanksgiving dinner of left-overs from two separate gatherings; we are unanimous: vegan sides (no butter) suck donkey, and pumpkin pie is all good, so long as one doesn't get "creative" and add ground nuts or whatever.
