Hi all,
I have previously offered this to members of the Kenosha Potato Project, and I wanted to at least post this here and see if there is any interest from those who post on this forum, who are in the USA.

Contents of the KPP Facebook post below - feel free to message me with any questions. Due to current temperature, an April shipping date would most likely be the earliest possible for me. Partly, I am offering this as a way to get germplasm out there in the hands of those interested.
My offer is to ship sampler boxes of diverse potato varieties, in exchange for a set amount of money to cover shipping and efforts put into past breeding efforts. Some of you may find this a great way to get a start growing tubers with a higher likelihood of producing TPS than is found in many commercially available lines. Some of these are either very fertile lines, or at least solid berry producers. My goal would be to provide those interested in hobby breeding, access to a fairly wide genetic base to begin with, and one that has higher disease resistance than what is generally available.
I would like to tailor the samplers to some degree, to each person. This would be based upon factors that are important to the person receiving them. I will select from the very diverse gene pool of tubers that I have been growing and breeding, to try to best match up with traits that are desired. This likely will be a mix of named varieties, breeding lines, and tubers grown from TPS. No tubers that are under plant protection will be included.
I presently can hand pick from over 150 named varieties and breeding lines, plus another few dozen of my best TPS grown tubers I have selected from the past few years. Many of these are from highly disease resistant breeding lines, especially ones bred for Late Blight resistance. Technically, if I count ones that don't fit my own personal selection criteria, there are many more that I could include. I have enough varieties and types that I should be able to individualize selections based on multiple combinations of factors.
Preferences or requests can certainly be made for specific varieties, though general preferences may be followed, rather than requests for specific varieties.
This is geared towards hobby growers and backyard gardeners, and probably is not the best fit for those doing market growing.
Pricing will be a flat rate, including shipping.
$20 for 10 small sized tubers
$30 for 10 medium sized tubers or 15 small sized tubers
$40 for 15-20 medium sized tubers, or 25+ small sized tuber
If I can fit a few more than that in the packaging, I will do so.
TPS also can be available if you have interest in purchasing small quantities.
I am willing to be flexible where possible, whether a request is made for a package of completely different tubers, or small amounts of a few kinds.
Please understand this is not a business. I am a hobby grower, and will not be shipping in the manner of what many expect when ordering online through online stores or catalogs. Shipping will need to be dependent upon weather at both my location and yours. That could be either this fall or wiating until spring, depending on weather locations. Please advise if you do not have a good location to store your tubers in - you may be better off to wait until spring if that is the case, but it likely will be April before I will be doing spring shipments.
Please contact me via Facebook PM, and we can correspond over email following that, to coordinate all the details and payment (via paypal preferred).
Please identify in your email to me, which of the following factors are most important to you, and whether you grow potatoes in the ground or in containers. I can tailor this around different combinations of these factors.
Shapes - Primitive/Fingerlings/Oblong/Round
Disease Resistance
High Yield
Large Tuber Size
Colored Flesh - Red/Blue/Yellow
Taste
Waxy/Starchy
Long / Short Season
Long / Short Stolons
High Set Tubers
Diploid / Tetraploid / Other Ploidy
Good / Poor Dormancy
Frost Tolerance / Heat Tolerance
Container / In ground
I have included sample images to show some of the variety I presently am growing.
