Greetings all
It looks like Richter's herbs has gotten in another lot of new seed types from Joe Simcox (does anyone know why he is splitting his finds between Richter's Baker Creek and his own site? You'd think he'd want everything to go to his own site now)
Most of the ones here that I'd plan to play around with are probably only of interest to me like the tubergourd or a little too fiddly to be usable for the general staff here to want to go through the trouble (like the Tomatitio) But I thought it might be good to at least bring the Caucasian Caper seed to everyone else's attention. I certainly like the idea of being able to grow my own capers as far north as I am, And I have a pretty good feeling I'm not the only one here who would be. I know there are probably some hurdles I'm not yet seeing (for example I remember reading somewhere that in Europe; capers are usually found growing on old marble ruins, so I assume the plants need a LOT of calcium/lime.) but it is probably worth it.
