I have a problem...well at least I think I do. Potato planting time in TX can be between President's Day and St. Patrick's Day, but really St. Pat's is too late because our season is mega-short. All the potato seed varieties I want to order don't ship until mid-March or later. Is it possible to order these seed taters now for March shipping and store them until fall planting time? Store-bough potatoes always seem to sprout for me and shrivel immediately after I bring them home. How can I store for a longer time?
I have store-bought Yukons for planting this week, but I want cool varieties like Desiree and Adirondack Red and stuff for fall.

Put them in plastic bags in the refrigerator and they should come through just fine. Check them every few weeks and open the bags to give them some fresh air. Under those conditions, many varieties will still look just as fresh as when you bought them.

That sounds easy, I will definitely try it! Thanks.
