Thinking of a trip to southern italy and coastal croatia in september/october. Any must-see garden/vege growing sites I need to start dropping hints about? While i won't be acquiring any seeds for myself, anything to keep an eye out for others? T

templeton, sorry I don't have any suggestions for you...yet. I'll be going to Florence at the end of April (for a fancy destination wedding). I'm hoping to check out some farms or gardens too. Don't know if you'll be heading that far north, but if so, maybe I'll have some recommendations for you. I may be trying to bring back some interesting seeds. Suggestions anyone has for Florence would be much appreciated. Hope you don't mind me piggy-backing on your thread.

no problem, Mike. Will be interested if you find anything. I'm thinking since i will be in naples later, i might be able to get hold of some more piennolo del vesuvio, or other local tomatoes. T

I've never been to Italy and so can make no suggestions, but I've always wanted to go to Apulia to see the trulli, which are a style of conical stone house dating back to the bronze age. So please check out some trulli for me!
