My daughter is in Arras, France for a couple of days looking at war sites. There is a garden centre nearby and she has offered to buy me vegetable seeds.
Well, my seed stash is currently over 1100, so I don't really need any. However, it is a chance too good to miss.
Is that area noted for any vegetables that are not available here?

Probably not anything that would be readily available at a garden center. Most European 'regular' vegetables are pretty much the same bland/ordinary stuff over on this side of the Atlantic. You'd need to get out and talk to gardeners/go to the open air markets to find the interesting things...
Not saying that there isn't any chance of something, just that it's rather low.
