I found 3 basil volunteers. 2 have the genovese scent another one is smelling like licorice. A smell I don`t like. You can see one of them on this picture. Beside are some late tomato volunteers Foto am 19.06.17 um 14.02 by hebamme.lena, on Flickr

This year, I had quite a few Tulsi basil volunteers. I have never had any of Italian basil volunteer, I wish it would!

Hi this year i have genovese and thaï basil volonteers too ! it s the first time I can see that

In my impression licorice types are more suitable to colder climate and in seed more cold tolerant than genovese. But it is just a hypothesis from the last 3 season...
