Ok so now that we are seeing the finish line I've been thinking it's time for me to start looking at getting a riding mower for the new place. The new place is 3 1/2 acres and has a gentle slope. I don't want to spend more than 3k and would rather be closer to 2. I also want to buy new because I'm not good with mechanical stuff and the people who are tend to cost a lot. It wouldn't need many attachments but I would like it to be able to have a plow in the winter. Also be able to pull a cart. Also about a quarter of it will be graded really nice. The rest will be a bit rougher. Any suggestions? Here's a picture of the 3 1/2 acres

Well, that is a lovely 3 1/2 acres, so you're good to go; that's all I've got, not being into the "riding" mode; be well; enjoy.

I vote John Deere, though I may be prejudice.

Fencing might be cheaper than a riding mower, in the long run, then you could have sheep.

Lol about the livestock. One neighbor has a couple of goats. Maybe I can borrow them a week or two out of every month

Yeah, but ewes could be better recreationally and you want to build a relationship.

Trouble is you dont get much for three grand when it comes to rideons, i'm with steev, smack some posts in and put some fences up. Ive got 15 acres and no rideon, but have 25 sheep and about a acre planted in trees.

Yeah, but ewes could be better recreationally and you want to build a relationship. Bit of a standing joke with our neighbours over the ditch where they reckon us kiwi's take our relationships a bit too far, but hey rest assured i dont sneak down the paddock after my ol girl has dropped off the sleep.
