Just got reminded about greasy beans, they've been on my list for a while. Sandhill has a bunch, how to choose? Anyone have any experience with them, suggestions as to variety? I'm thinking for drying the green beans rather than the seed...leather britches? I dislike canned green beans and trying to ease the pressure on freezer space.

I have grown lots of greasy beans and like them both as a green bean and dry. I can't give a specific variety, I just call them little brown greasy or brown speckled and white. I plant mostly the browns, there are a lot of variations in seed coat among them. I'm told that they are good for leather britches but haven't tried it yet.
