Hey all
Thought it was time I got this years report off the ground.
Problem is, as of yet I don't have much to report. It's been pretty bleak seed finding wise
My best take since the turn of the year (if indeed it was not before, I can't really remember was a quantity of bags of lablab beans in which nearly all have speckles, which might finaly give me the material to test my theory (that somewhere in the speckled white population is the bicolor or pink flowered lablab bean I think is out there.)
Other than that the take has been extremely paltry. A few off colored rice beans with the odd bindweed seed thrown in (also a few urd beans, but those are of no real interest)
I tried moving back to senna searching, but there too things are not what they were. In contrast to the panoply of things I used to find most bags have few inclusions and those normally boring The other senna (which I have now actually grown seed to seed) foxtail millet seed/ sorgum (hard to tell those apart sometimes) the odd tiny bindweed seed. Only things of interest have been three seeds of some sort of legume (seed appearance could make it anything from sesbania to goat's rue to kudzu) and one tiny cowpea.
Next report when something interesting shows up.

I really enjoy your reports. It is a totally different way to explore in the garden.
