As the title suggests, I'm looking for people to calibrate/share ideas with that are in a hot dry climate. I live in south east Queensland AUS. Our summers can nudge past 40℃. We average 750mm of rain in a good year sporadically through the season. Our winters we get down to -6℃ but with a good frost usually comes a clear sunny day in the mid 20℃ I'm mostly landrace breeding, in a low or no input no till Organic situation

I didn't feel like the best fit, but now after getting the numbers maybe i'm a better fit that i thought. Just using goolge for the first numbers i can find like averages and then converting that to metric.
Summers can easily reach your 40℃ in july. Average rain according to google is 400mm per year. And annual snowfall is an additional 1400mm, so i'm not sure how that factors in. High altitude and air is dry and wicks away with wind. Though i do irrigate so don't know how drought resistant my crops are necessarily. Winters can reach -28℃ but usually only go -23℃ on average. Some winters are harsh some non-existent and mild. Mostly landrace breeding now and organic. Tilled last year a bit. Wont this year.
Let me know how that heavily branched pea does for you. I suspect it will do well in the dry hot season. If it does i have others i can send to you of peas. Sorta want to share anyway at some point. All in good time.
