This link is to a recent evaluation at Iowa State U. for nutrition and performance of a number of hybrid and OP maize varieties: lib.dr.iastate.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1008&context=creativecomponentsOne of the principal areas of focus was carotenoids, which includes carotenes (Vit A) and xanthophylls (lutein and zeaxanthin), for eye health. I was struck by the super-high levels of carotenoids in a variety called Dziekuje (Polish for thank you) provided by Frank Kutka. This orange variety has complex parentage, including Cateto. I was immediately reminded of Joseph Lofthouse's Orange Flint. I would like to know where I can get some Dziekuje.
