i'm glad to see the mountains getting some rain/snow but i surely would like it even more if some of that makes it to the Colorado River basin... they so far are having around an average year but it would be great if they could get dumped on a few more times in the next month or two just to make sure they get another nice bump to their water stores.
the weather here was nice for a few days and dry enough that i could get outside and take some pictures and start doing some cleanup work on a project i was into last year.
i will not post the long list here because it is a lot of work for me to edit/format a post, but you can see new pictures on the website www.anthive.com .

today was nice again at last so i could get out and get some work done in a few gardens. always more to do and always feels good to get out and move even if i know it might ache a bit later or the next day or two... just how it goes.

Here in NorCal it's very changeable. T-shirts. thermals, sun, showers, nothing to count on, these days. Used to be regular, but no more.

here it's sunny today but still a tad chilly for T-shirts... even in the sun. People are starting to plant gardens though, even some people who have never had gardens before, and the market gardeners that I know are getting going, but still mostly in greenhouses. Was a time I remember my dad planting potatoes (as a commercial crop) on St Patrick's Day... that had to have been an unusually early year judging from the last ten years anyway.

it is nice enough to be outside today, but i'm letting my body recover a bit more. last night was hard to sleep so i needed a nap today. feel much better now. just going to watch the birdies and plink on the computer.

Temps. in the fifties daytime so it is a little above average and March was mild with with rain/snow level way below the norm. Yesterday I was out raking the lawn in T-shirt, shorts and barefoot yesterday so I may have to get my buttocks in gear to prepare for planting early but then snow is forecast in a few days so we shall see as we had two inches three days ago.

frost two nights in a row. too early for me to be planting much of anything we grow anyways. this is prime time for me to be able to get other projects done.

Looks to be a very nice day shaping up here. I'm in middle of a web meeting about the elephant on the world right now. When it's over I hope to get outside and plant some stuff.

T-shirt weather, but supposed to be rainy next two to four days; hoping for real rain, not the pissy sprinkles we've been getting.

It has rained enough here so that I can see the garlic beds. The rest of the garden and paths are still covered in snow.
