It's a new decade, and we're still growing here . . .
we wish you good weather,
so sunny and clear . . .
with a bit of rain, just enough, not a lot . . .
and seasonable temperatures, not to cold nor too hot!
Be sure to share, what's happening to you . . .
We hope it is good, but if not, that's OK too!

So far in 2020 we have had very little cold. A couple mornings with a little frost but no real freezing. This morning, 1/11/2020 at 6 AM temp was 62F. Lots of wind and on and off heavy rain. Nothing severe here though, thankfully. I think that's not the case in other parts of North America.

67F in my garden outside Philly today - not a typical mid-January day by any stretch

68F today near Philadelphia, one degree warmer than yesterday. Feel the urge to plant peas but am pretty sure it is too early

Supposed to get just above freezing today. Meanwhile, freezing rain. Not good for driving nor walking.

The past week has been primo, rain at night, clear for work in the day; big storm predicted Thursday; about time we got one, not having got our "normal" heavy first-hump rains; I don't suppose it'll do much on the farm, coming from the North; the Pineapple Express is what soaks the farm.

It's raining hard, our first toad-choker of the season, such a relief to get the real deal.

will be good to see the snow pack get back towards average again. after last year even a moderate year would be great. let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

About six all hail broke loose, luckily here it only comes lentil size, not cat-killing windshield cracking stuff.

19 F here this morning. First really below freezing temp we've have had since back about November 15 when it was 8 F. Just light frost some mornings between then and now.

it has been all over the place here. i'm ready for it to get some snow on the ground and for it to stay put longer than a few days. it is much nicer with a snow blanket.

Freezing rain again yesterday. Nasty to walk or drive. But it was slightly above freezing at ground level. All was melted about the time the sun came out mid-afternoon. Sunny and above freezing today. It is still well above average temperature again today.

we did get a nice layer of snow on the ground and it is forecast this week to remain cold enough for it to stick. then it rained for a bit too just to make sure the snow was good and heavy to shovel. it was perfect snow man making snow. alas, i forgot to make a small one and bring it in for Mom. as a joke... windy and colder this morning. might get warm again later this week. no! i don't want the snow to melt!
