for something different... this picture contains both the parent of the line and also a hint of the intermediate parent. can you guess which they might be? hmm, no idea why pictures aren't showing up as they were before. but you can click on them to get to them. the thumbnail view:

You have recreate the bean borlotti yellow x red The grey bean and yellow bean are a parent of the beige bean.

it may be that one of the parents is a borlotti bean, but all i know for sure with these is that the Dapple Grey is one of the parents. the Dapple Grey gave me a bean like the silver and brown pattern in the upper right corner, but the beans were larger like the largest bean on the right side of the picture. when planted all of the silver brown beans gave me all of the beans in the picture including giving back the Dapple Grey. i still have some silver brown beans to plant. when i harvested the beans and saw the pattern i called them Monster Bean because they were a large bean from a large plant. i didn't know what they would have as children. a lot of segregations. so far all of the children plants have been bush beans and most of them have large plants and very healthy. it will be fun to continue planting these to see which ones will become stable and what else may come along.
