Hello This autumn i have sow a green manure under my squash: white mustard, tritical, peas, lens, phacelia. The leaf of the squash has protected the seeds of the green manure. This year i have sow my squash under my vegetal cover theirent have a shadow but theirent are protected of the extrems od the climate.I have maxima, moschata and pepo. I would like to recover the seeds of mustard and hung the squash at the mustard.I have make a test with two thermometers i have put 1 thermometer under my cover and in airflow but full sunshine and i have see the mini 0°C 32°F in airflow and a mini of 5°C 41° under the vegetal cover. I think that my maxima is sensitive at the phtoperiod after a sow in june the last year. The first female flower has flowered the 15th september.I think that she could be product more auxin and less gibbelerin under my vegetale covert and she could be have a best root and have a fruit most easily.

My squash at shadow begin to give a fruit. I have make a test with a butternut ( moschata) before is grow i have put the pot a few days in the house at a long distance of a window and he has gave a fruit but after a grow at sunshine the fruit is fall. For me cucurbita maxima and moschata are not totally neutral at the photoperiod.

The experience is to lay down thr juvenil phase thanks to the shadow. The result is that one plant has make 3 leafs before to run. A plant wich grow with a normal conditions make two leafs before to run. I will found the minimal stade of developement for that the plant is able to make a fruit.
