Is it ok to store organic seeds in plastic? This may be a silly question, but I'm curious.

For stocked my radish and mustard seeds, i have used two plastic boxs that i have recuperate. It's a second life for the plastic. For me its better than to throw away the plastic in the nature.
It very expansive to clean up the plastic continent in the ocean. Its more expensive than to product the plastic.

I store most all of mine in plastic. I use 6mil bags for little seeds like tomatoes and I like soft drink bottles for bigger things like beans. They seal really well, are light weight and don't break. I don't buy many myself but I have people that save them for me. I just make sure the seeds are nice and dry first, seal in the bottle or bag and freeze treat for a couple of weeks.

I agree with all of the replies thus far. Nothing in the plastic will contaminate the seeds to the point where they could no longer be considered organic.
