Howdy folks, I don't post here very often, though I've been a member for some years. I am a long time seed saver, living in Oklahoma. The reason I'm posting here is that recently I was contacted by a young man from the South Side of Chicago, also a member of the Seed Savers Exchange. He is doing some historical gardens in the Chicago area and focusing on Native American crops, especially from Illinois, Indiana and, I suppose Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa. He specifically mentioned the Pottawatomie tribe. Though I lived in Northern Indiana for some years, it has been quite some time, and my collection contains few varieties from that region. Would any of you know of specific varieties he might grow and where he could obtain them?
He mentioned to me that he has obtained Glen Beasley Red corn. What about squash, beans, melons of any kind?
I'd really like to help him out.
George

Oops! I just realized that Buffalo Berry posted here last October! He's the one looking for the seed.
