Greetings all! Buffaloberry here to find out which types of crops the Cherokee nation planted in the 1830s during the Trail Of Tears era under Andrew Jackson and the rest of them. I'm considering planting a complete Cherokee garden next year to help honor my late grandmother from Oklahoma in the 1800s who was half black and half Natives American. There were also some Chickasaw, Creek and Choctaw nations who joined the exdeous with the Cherokee and black slaves to Oklahoma by enforcement by the government back then. I'm not just looking for Cherokee crops, but also from the other tribes and slaves that joined them for the exile from their former homelands.
