Is there a rule of thumb for how many days from tasseling the corn will be ready for harvest?

I use the color of the silks at the end of ears of corn. Usually they turn dark brown when the corn is ready. I use the squirt method pull the leave of the corn ear back enough to reveal the niblet then pop a kennel by sticking your thumb into it if it squirt then it is ready to pick.I cannot tell you how long because different breeds of corn are difference. times.
