I have always had a problem with corn. The cucumber beetles always come and eat all the silk off my corn. I'm just a little bit ahead of the beetles and I thought maybe I could hand pollinate. I took some of the pollen and mixed it up in the silks. Is this going to work?

Sure it will, as long as the silk is "wet" and you have viable pollen you should get pollination!

With all the corn you have, you'll need an army of chupacabras to help you hand-pollinate!

Alan, it's worked pretty well. I have a small amount of corn and I was really tired of not getting anything but empty cobs because the cucumber beetles would eat the silks before they pollinated.
After four years of trying I just started harvesting my first crop. I only had about 50 stalks so it wasn't a problem.

Excelent and glad to hear it! For such a dry year we have really had a nice crop of sweet corn this year, sometimes it seems like all I ever do is cut corn. We probably had 5 or so acres worth!
