Bill, just wanted to get a quick update on the blue tomatoes and their progress? Do you have any to spare?
Thanks friend!

Alan,
Man, the OSU Blue was a booger to germinate and then when I did get sprouts, only one made it to transplant. I had them outdoors as small sprouts, and the storms took their toll.
Right now I have one plant about two feet tall and flowering. And I'm not even sure it's gonna be a good blue fruit because the foliage isn't as dark as what Keith shows in his pictures or what Julianna says about the plant she got from the seeds I sent Tristan. Apparently theirs have darker, almost purple leaves. Mine are just dark khaki green.
Time will tell. You're welcome to some seeds. Sorry about my failure to follow thru with plants.
Bill

Mine are still flowering and haven't noticed fruit set yet. I'll check again in the morning. Last time I looked there were two flower clusters. The one plant I have was a late planting I think maybe last week of April or first week of May ... have to check records. The plant has the same color stems as Keith shows in his picture, with the hairs and all, but the foliage is still dark khaki green and not tinged in purple yet.

The plant I am showing here is the one that was less purple. It was planted on may 10th.
As the heat has kicked in on the other two plants that were more purple (as shown in a leaf picture posted previously) they now look like this plant. These other two plants were planted about 10 days later. They do not seem as vigorous but are likely more stressed because of water issues (leaf roll and some stunting maybe).

If it tastes great and if it produces lots of fruits, count me in for some seeds, so I can try this one in our rainy Belgian summers Thanks!
