Here's what my Astronomy Domine looked like today. And to approximately the same scale what Frosty looked like: Frosty was planted 12 days earlier and survived 14 overnight frosts after it emerged. [Update June 18th, survived 17 overnight frosts.]

We have a saying around here that corn should be "Knee high by the forth of July". This year, Frosty beat that by 3 weeks. The other corns are right on schedule. Frosty Sweet Corn, June 13th 2012:

My corn has tasseled and will be ready to eat as roasting ears in 3 or 4 days. Here we say we should be "eating corn by the 4th of July".

Here we also say "Knee high by the 4th of July."
My first early block of frosty is waist high, the home garden planting is knee high, and the later field planting is almost there.
