This year's tomatoes: Herman's Special Early Girl (down to 4 seeds) Dona Green Zebra Cherry Burning Spear Danko Giannini Torpedo Tennessee Britches Cherokee Green Milka's Red Bulgarian Rose de Berne Juanne Flame Me Tarzan Cherry St. Colomba Mama Leone
If they get here: Santa Ana from Tater Mater Sweet Sharon and Sweet Beverly from Darth Joseph's Early from ?
If these last don't get here soon, they'll have to go into next year's pile. And I'll throw in Kazachka, Grappiolo (both cherries), Rose de' Eauze and Orange Minsk. And have to replant the evil Sungold.
I never did find Colossal Kim. So, I'll go back to Redwood City Seeds and order Anchos and Big Jim's. Don't you hate it when a seed just up and vanishes?

I won't know what tomatoes I'm planting until late March, when I'll seed my transplants.

Don't hold me to this too hard, things are still in flux. I have decided to wean myself off New Girl and Big Beef, which is a big step and I may cave before tomato planting day.
Production List Sioux Rutgers Select Eva Purple Ball Cosmonaut Volkov Fireworks Tomatobery Garden F1 Sungold F1 Matt's Wild
Trials/ Breeding Parents List (1-4 plants each) Neve's Azorean Red Cambell Soup 54 KC 135 Vision Ohio Crack Resistant Thessaloniki Rose de Berne Casady's Folly Bloody Butcher Old Brooks-(maybe) Chapman -(maybe) Crimson Sprinter -(maybe) Early Wonder -(maybe)
I am really interested in old school indeterminate processing/canner varieties like KC 135, JTD, etc. for future breeding work. I am just running out of $ for seed, and room for more plants in the hoophouses. Otherwise I'd be putting in an order to Victory which has a lot of good stuff along those lines. If anyone has some JTD they want to trade for, give me a PM

I'm flicking my seed packets like a deck of cards here..trying hard what not to grow.. I already have going on.. Delicious Neve's Azorean Red Giant Navikova 10 He-man (for rootstock) Giant Belgium In couple of weeks time I start my 'proper sowing' And first take of the list is.. Emeral Apple Detsky Gypsy Inca Andian Simo Aranyalma Kenilworth Franstein Black Cuban Black Black Marv De pinto Green Zebra cherry Sprite Jaune Di Bipanda Earl Of Edgecombe Madam Jardel's Black New Big Dwarf Janpanese Dwarf Tasmanian Chocolate Mr Snow Alpatieva I just have to start counting what goes where and how much space have left for something else after that.. I can definately fit few more basket types to hang from GH roof.. ;D Oh..and..I've got few my own crosses going on that I'm 'working' with..so those have to continue too..and...and...

Do you do a lot of grafting potter? I tried it one year. Decided it's not for me.

Nope...first time. Well, with tomatoes. I thought I'm having a go..and then I've 'been there and done that'..if there is improvement..good, and I shall have a another go. If not, well, nothing lost and I can then forget about it. Being honest..I really doubt it will bring great difference, I'm up to ear holes with tomatoes most years anyway, but if I don't finally make a effort to try..I'll just keep wondering about it. And now that I've got some rootstock seeds from one of the swaps that took part..I might as well make good use of them...no excuses left.. ;D
