Yes, I thought Kate's pic was splendid as well. Wish my seedlings looked that good. Mebbe it's the beer glass pots that do the trick? CW, is there barley left in the bottom as plant food? Bunkie, Ed did a fantastic job of resurrecting the structure!

hey kate, great job! hope you get back on the internet soon! here's the latest from here. it's been too wet and cold to put anything in the gardens, well mostly too wet. every single plant in the greenhouse is busting to get out. hopefully today i'll get the peas, fava beans, grapes and nut trees in the grounds... pete entering greenhouse... me & pete...early AM and haven't brushed my hair yet! ;D herbs and peanuts....these are stuart's trial Sweet Black ... celery... orange angora tomato....amaazingly soft and beautiful leaves... onions... extra dwarf pak choi...these are amazing....every day i go out and taste test them looking for bitterness, and find NONE! even while they're going to seed.... brussel sprouts and purple and white cauliflower... fava beans and snowplow ed's working on... curly waiting at greenhouse gate... pete and crabapple tree... peach blossoms... i had a pics of dan's Cape Gosseberries, but can't find it...too much going on here...maybe later...

a few days ago...what's happening in our gardens... pete waiting for a tubtrug ride to check out our gardens... peaches...we have 5 on our tree this year. last year it was loaded. i think the frost got many of the blossoms this year, as it was raining and we couldn't cover them... a couple more peaches... corn and young apple trees.... red miracle corn..... more rm corn..... dan's spagno blanco(sp?) beans....finally producing beans! dan's serbian beans... chestnut beans...oops....i thought these were a pole bean, and they're not....bean producing first and best so far... beans, toms, and eggplant... winter squash, toms and peppers... winter squash... banana squash... ed's spaghetti squash... peppers and toms... more peppers.... toms... more toms..... more toms.... angora toms... OSU blue toms.....they've been blkue for weeks, with no sign of a red blush, yet... more OSU blue toms..... bush beans & toms... baby cuke...over the drip line... celery... black cherry toms... yellow strawberries... blackberries... crabapple tree and blackberries... cranberries...i don't understand why there is only one or two cranberries on each umbrella? in spring, they're loaded with flower. seem there should be more... flowers...these were planted over three years ago and have just 'returned' this year...nice bush of lemon thyme full of honey bees, behind them... great sunflower project... www.greatsunflower.org/wonderberry...first time we grew this little bush, from seed. a wonderful tasty berry...flavor is between a blueberry and mullberry... butterfly bush...have another dark purple one, but the pics didn't come out... Umpqua broccoli (pete's favorite!)...first year for this variety, and it's still producing in several days of 90 degree heat... pete telling me there's a weed in the broccoli... cole crops...started putting that netting up, but failed at keeping the sides down. yet...so far, the brussel sprouts under the net are doing very well...there's always next year... brussel sprouts forming... struggling sweet potatoes..... rows and rows of potatoes......

we had a wicked 90 degree windstorm all day yesterday into the night. every one and every thing survived fine here on the farm, but several fires started a ways around us. windstorm...ducks...trees bending on left... windstorm...pear trees...the sky was full of real estate... windstorm from north... pears...good thing they're not ripe yet! we would've lost the crop... curly...

Forgot to ask, how many blackberry bushes do you have in order to produce that many berries?
