They are making a sequal to one of the worst comic adaptation movies ever made:
Alien Vs. Predator
However this new movie look, excuse my dork language; kick ass!
if you get a chance look up AVP Requiem , there are three trailers a red band, green band, and the population trailer, all can be found on you tube!
Sorry, just my dork showing and I've been waiting for a proper version of this since I was a kid. -Alan

Those were both excellent movies (the originals). Alien vs. Predator I didn't like that well, although I have liked all the other Alien sequels so far and the Predator (with Danny Glover) take off as well. I am a big fan of sci-fi/horror, but there are few well made.

I kind of thought Predator II was actually better than the first one, which is uncommon. I like AVP, though it certainly has its weak points. Can't wait to see that sequel!

I love the first 3 alien movies.....resurection.....not really...the "newborne" idea kind of did tha in for me.
Alien 1 and Aliens are the classics, but to me Alien 3 delievers the clearest message of what the creatures were capable of as far as what they had done to ripleys life.
Predator one was terrific, though I find myself rooting for the predator in the end fight, also if that thing looked at you and spread it's arms in a challenge like that and roared, what would you do, I know what I would do, crap my pants, hav a heart attack and die, simple as that.
Predator two is probably my favorite though, It get's a lot of knocks from the fan community and from critics but I truly love that movie, and in my opinion the scene in the trophy room with the alien skull is classic.....it set up a feeling for the AVP fights in the future, unfortunately I don't feel like we got that feeling with the first AVP, it just didn't feel right, then again Paul Anderson directed it, so I guess I shouldn't expect to much.
What I really hated AVP wise though (besides most of the story and destruction/disrespect of the previous films) was the Predator desighn, it didn't scare me at all, not like the other predators, the ones in AVP literally look like football players. The one in the new movie though looks spot on!
What I would really like to see though after this movie (provided they can squeeze out any more sequels) is: Alien 5-Directed by James Cameron and riddley scott with creature desighn by H.R. Giger (admitedly he is a creepy guy, but the alien is his baby) and Predator 3-With the elder predator from the end of number 2 hunting a rouge younger predator who has no sense of the hunt.
Ok, i'm done rambling for a moment......

Boyz Boyz Boyz... I'm willing to bet that TBS is your favourite television station, LOL. Oh wait, if it is then you'd know it by it's new name PeachTree TV. Having been to Atlanta, I can relate to the new name. But do they think that the new moniker will make Sunday movie marathons with Big John, Arnie or Mel seem more sophisticated? LOLOL

nahhh, not that big of a fan of most of those guys, just comedy, sci-fi, horror, and mystery type stuff, with the occassional reasonably well-done western. My actual three favorite stations:
Comedy Central T.V. Land Histroy Channel Discover Channel and Whatever Channel "wrastlin" happens to be on.
Any wrestling fans want to explain why Randy Orton is freaking champion as opposed to someone with true talent like Ken Kennedy?
Oh boy, now my nerd is showing. -Alan

Well, since we're already talking about sci-fi crossover movies, I'm gonna let my inner geek show. How about Predator vs. Terminator?
Think about it: Predators have been coming here a long time and treat Earth as a hunting preserve (P II, AVP), they're conservation-minded (remember the 'pregnant woman' scene in P II?), they're capable of recognizing humans as allies, and they're territorial. Add the fact that the Machine Wars were inevitable (T III) and that Skynet's Operating Protocol requires the total extermination of Homo Sapiens, and I think you have a great recipe for ome major free for all!
My idea for a story hook is pretty simple. The predators would learn of the Machine War after the three time-incursions of the Terminator movies, yet before the inevitable extinction of Man. They arrive, assess the situation, and ally with the remaining survivors to storm Cyberdyne and shut down Skynet's CPU. Or... They recognize the heightened sport value of T100's, and merely hamstring Skynet, allowing Humans to survive and continuing to hunt both.
Waddaya think? Got potential, doesn't it?

Sounds good to me, there was actually a comic book that was Terminator Vs. Predator Vs. Alien which was an ok concept. Doesn't Fox own all three franchises?
Another coincidence is that Bill Paxton is the only actor to have the distinction of showing up in one movie each of the above discussed:
Predator 2 The Terminator Aliens (2)

I think it's a great idea, but can a Predator take down a Terminator? I think they should bring back Arnold as the Terminator, instead of the newer models. It seemed to me that a Terminator (particularly a T100) would be pretty hard to down. The Predators are tough compared to homo sapiens, but they have shown they CAN be beaten by humans, not sure this is the case with a Terminator...... Am I really having this conversation??? I have an 18 year old grandson who would not believe it. ;D The second scenario could come out at the end and could be the set up for more.......

I would think it's possible, after all two humans managed to take out a T100. Granted, they WERE in a factory right off the highway where it spent about a half hour getting "tenderized", but still... A predator would pack a whole lot more firepower than a homemade pipebomb, that's for certain! And think of the trophy mount a T100 would make! I'm not sure how you would mount a liquid metal T1000, though.
As for Arnie, I think he's trying to get away from the role, and there's one detail that has bothered me ever since T2. Why would they keep getting him for the role, besides name recognition. Think about it, if every T100 looked the same, they wouldn't get too far past the first infiltration, would they? I remember seeing a comic cover from the terminator title that boasted a cybernetic wolf. Makes ya wonder why Skynet never manufactured a terminator dog series, since it was common knowledge that the humans kept german shephards to smell T100's.
Yeah, I can't quite help but laugh at myself over this thread, either, LOL! Oh well, it's fun, right?

Oh, man! Am I ever dense! Suppose that the predator from PI had a family, and his descendants were in the TVP storyline. Would they somehow recognize Arnie as the guy who "iced great-grandpa"?

hahah, that's pretty good, I thought of something similar to that but couldn't find it in myself to post it (or how to word it), but heres food for thought, if the predator from P1 had lived and defeated arnie, since we don't know the predators lifespan (presumably hundreds of years considering the trophy that the elder gave glover at the end of p2 was from the 1700's), what would that predators reaction be at seeing a T100? "not again damnit"

I was unhappy with the inconsistancies in AVP also.
