OG - I think Jere is still too young and sheltered to realize that there's a big difference between the guy carrying out his job, and the political machinations that create the situation he finds himself in. Not to excuse his attitude, but to temper your anger at him. (Plus, it is never good to waste your frustration on the kids who ride the short bus - they can't help that they don't understand.) Sorry - I'll say penance for that one - it was a cheap shot Cheap shot or not - cheered me up! ;D Also saying penance with apologies to all the passengers of the "short bus"......

Bill - you and I are in total agreement here. I find the Paul papers very disturbing. Who allows other people to write that kind of crap in their name, and doesn't disavow it immediately? And if the so-called ghostwriter was such a great Paul supporter that he was entrusted with the job of writing in the Paul name, why won't he come forward and fall on his own sword for the "great man" now? I think I'm going to write myself in at the VA primary. I've been a project manager and editor for a couple of dumb little newsletters here, at work. Lemme tell you tho, I had to review each submission several times before accepting it, and if we mentioned a person then that person had to read and approve the column, then my manager reviewed the proposed edition, then our sponsor reviewed and approved each issue. Then we'd publish it. All to ensure that it was accurate and that we were not defaming anyone nor revealing confidential or info. So those IDiggers hafta gimme a break with that Ron Paul not being aware of what was being written in his own newsletter crap. That is so much BS that I can't stand it. And he said that it was written in 1993 and he didn't know who wrote it. So, like, he didn't investigate that at all??!! Bill, like you're like the best poster I've ever read...

To be fair, it isn't just idiggers who have allowed the papers to be brushed aside. But that being said - why would you bitch about Hillary Clinton claiming to be named after Sir Edmund Hillary, but think it was okay that your candidate of choice has racist remarks published in his name? Those are some HUGE damn blinders on that horse!

Um... did I just read an AT telenovela? Where were the skimpy outfits and gun fights? Tune in next time to see if Kathy Sue is a tramp... or just a hippy chick with a truck.
Remember those books from our youth - choose your own adventure? If you open the door to the left, turn to page 25...

When are these guys who claim to be writers gonna learn the English language and it's proper use? One of HoT's most common errors is "there" for "their" or "they're," etc. Winter Unphrased continually puts his punctuation marks outside of the quotation marks at his blog site. Writers? Pffffffffffffffffffffft.

This may be taken the wrong way, but the most vocal Evangelical Christians at Idig seem to be the ones who have a problem with the way they talk to people.
Hiking told me that my opinion that the discussion on Obama being a closet Muslim who is part of an Arab conspiracy to conquer the U.S. was bigoted considering he had no proof. I was told that I could put my thoughts in one hand and poop in the other and it would be the same thing. He also told me that I was intolerant of other people's opinions.
Why do I even try?

He also claims to have a master's degree

Masters, shmasters, I say. I know a lot of dummies who have a masters and various certifications. For many graduate degrees you only have to take a battery of classes and that's it.
IMHO, there is not much difference between many evangelicals and muslim extremists: they both want to force people to believe and act as they do, except muslim extremists tend to do it with explosives more than the evangelicals who usually prefer to widdle away at your rights, altho they'll use explosives from time-to-time as well....
